Questions?
Q:I mean, for me at least its clearly not true that Christians are the most angry group here (at least in here, i don't know what goes on where you live)
Always when some Christian asks a "Second law of thermodinamics disproove evolution" kind of question, he is always called an idiot (or worse).
On the other hand i've never seen an atheist who asks a clearly not inteligent question criticising christianity (and that happens much more offten than they'd like to admit) getting insulted, and sometimes insulting wouldn't be an exageration. I mean questions that go on the line of "I pitty Christians" are pretty irritating....
i guess that turned out to be an attack question, well I'm sorry, to keep a more friendly mood i'll assure you that i am very interested in your opinions. And please tell me what your faorite Ramones song is OK?
Surfin' bird (it has like 2 chords)
Paz de Cristo
apparently the question turned out hard to understand... sorry
ђΛУđέʼn - yes, i'm questioning you with love dude! I'm not angry, i want to hear what everyone has to say about this. I'm not gonna lie, i've gotten angry here on some occasions, this isn't one of them =D and i expect they don't happen again.
A:For those who have been insulted, let it go. Don't make it your problem. If someone insults you, it's their problem, not yours and you make it your problem if you let that insult get to you. This goes for anyone, but especially Christians, especially when Jesus is our example and He was mocked, spat upon, whipped, struck, crucified, almost stoned, almost thrown off the cliff, called a drunkard and glutton, a friend of tax collectors and sinners, the prince of demons and had a demon, and yet He never retaliated back. It talks about in 1 Peter that it's better to suffer for doing good than for doing evil and since Jesus is our example, we're called to do the same thing: "He committed no sin and no deceit was found in His mouth. When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate, when He suffered, He made no threats. Instead He entrusted Himself to Him Who judges justly." That is the example we Christians should take since Jesus is our greatest example.
Also think of when Jesus said to "Turn the other cheek". It's also better to have God's approval than man's. And, to live in harmony and peace with everyone and if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and so forth.
Don't take it to heart when someone insults you. Let it go and move on. People often don't do things to you. They do it for themselves.
Also think of when Jesus said in the gospel of John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
In John 15:18-21: "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his Master.' If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed My teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of My Name, for they do not know the One Who sent Me." |
